'California Jam' Co-Producer On WPMD.org's 'Rock 50'; Audio Available

Don Branker, the co-producer and stage announcer for 1974's California Jam I and 1978's California Jam II which collectively featured performances by such legendary acts as TED NUGENT, AEROSMITH, FOREIGNER, BLACK SABBATH and DEEP PURPLE, among many others was a guest on the March 15, 2008 edition of WPMD.org's "Rock 50" radio show with Mike Stark. According to Mike, Don told "some great stories about both events including DEEP PURPLE's trashing of a television camera and a backstage story about AEROSMITH that brings 'rock 'n roll arrogance' to a new level."

Don also hosted the groundbreaking ABC late night series "In Concert", one of the first TV shows to feature musical artists in a concert environment rather than in a television studio setting.

"Rock 50" with Mike Stark airs "live" every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Pacific time) at WPMD.org.
